WishWe Tagger Game

October 1st, 2006 by Hans

Let’s make a wish! What would I wish for/from the blogosphere. Ok I’ll set it to 7 and tag others. I know it’s not yet Christmas but I got this catch from my cousin’s smoking custom. Before smoking any cigarette from his packet, he would pick any of them by mere guess, turn it over upside down, replaced it into that cigarette packet and call it a wish. That was the last cigarette he would smoke after wishing something. I know that’s a dirty thought. Psss as if tobacco companies could make them come true.

For anyone that doesn’t know the rule of a Tagger Game, if you’re tagged then you’ve to see what you’re required to do, blog it(write a post), list the things required and tag others(list other people who should be doing the same). Link leak everywhere in the blogosphere.

Ok here I start.

1) I wish I would become a better writer.

I wish I could write a better, clear crystal English here on my blog or when commenting. Easily express my ideas. Yeah I’ve got all sorta strange and bizzarely ones(uniquely signed by Hans). Just see how long my post might get to be or yeah even my comments. Several sentences only to express a single idea. I wish I could be a better writer to trim those ideas into easily digestible sentences that would make a crispy read.

*You can skip that part if you want, that’s just an example of the ideas I get*
I’m at it so an example of the strange and bizarrely ideas that I get :
People collect photos and tag them(Flickr), they collect movies/clips and tag them(YouTube) but why not contact info and tag them. A pool of contact information. Then why should we be taking the phonebook again, just look at the site, search by criteria(doctors, architechs, writers) and tadaaa. Those listed first would be those that many people have added them to their contact pool a bit like how Google’s search work.

2) I wish there was a standard blog etiquette to tell that I(as a blogger) was sorry

I shitted so many times. I wish so much to tell so many people sincerely sorry. OK I think that I’ve hurted your feelings, ok I think I did something that I shouldn’t have done. I really wish there was a word or anything like the sort that bloggers could really say to their folk bloggers to ask them for a honest and sincere forgiveness in all respect. I wish I knew that word.

3) I wish bloggers would not get tempered after some comments.

Not taking things from comments as personal stuff but more of something to learn from. Psss blogging is relationship, everyone is telling this. I believe so but it’s a bit hard for me to keep those relationships, a bit hard for a boy of 18 who’s just kidding around everywhere and telling everybody what he thinks of the other’s works. I really wish bloggers wouldn’t be offended by what I said in the comment, really sincerely I told it not to judge the blogger but just to bring my point of view and the thing I felt after getting through that post. *I think that wish could be : I wish I would remain silent a bit more often*

4) I wish there would never be a blog war.

When there are thoughts, emotions and ideas that don’t match : that hurt people’s emotions and this is why I think people fight. Then the blogosphere is just building around that : people’s thoughts, emotions and ideas. I really wish there would never be a war because of blogs/comments that showed hatred, fanaticism, racism or any type of discrimination that might hurt each other’s emotions.

5) I wish I really knew communal’s gibberish when I first landed on the blogosphere. And everyone else btw!

I admit it I was craving to form part of the 9Rules. That wasn’t because of traffic or any sorta asshit like so, it was just that I like the whole idea around a community. Being part of something that you really care about. I think that I really learnt the sense of community through the SOB program of Liz because that really brought me something more precious in my eyes than traffic : friends.

6) I wish Adsense could die.

I can hide things from my girlfriend(*wish she won’t read this*) but not from Google. I clicked on my own Adsense, got myself kicked off from the program and I loved it(*kids under 18 don’t try this at home!*). I really think in the blogosphere to sell things, it’s through people’s contact/relationship or something sorta like that.

If I knew the one behind firefox, I really won’t mind giving him some bucks to promote his work. If that blogger who’s blogging about music and wanted to get himself some bucks because of his hard work, I wouldn’t mind buying him his album(only if he’ve got some nice sleeve inside *sarcasm*). If some blogger was talking about grammar and he did it so well, then he could collect them in a nice batch of pdf or even put that in hardcopy. Then he might sell those ones, it’s giving the reader the choice, the blog stuffs are in the blog but for those who might still want it everytime that might be the way. I’m Adsense Free.

I think really there’re other means to get paid for the great work bloggers do and I don’t think Adsense is the answer. I think it’s the easy answer that Google laid on us : just put some Adsense there and you’re gonna get the bucks. Some thinking might do it. I’m still pondering on this subject, perhaps wait for some future posts where you could read those bizarrely idea of how to get paid without using Adsense. I say NO to Adsense. Adsense is the idea behind how M$ is selling its OS.

7) I wish I would write as the blogger I want to be.

To share ideas with my friends, folk bloggers and for myself. My self therapy in understanding all those why/how/what/could. Why are people using Adsense? could blogger beat beat wordpress? how to blog and love it? Why I’m myself continuing to blog? Why I started blogging? The mystery behind the lust for traffic?

Ok that’s my bowl : to try to understand all the gibberish that happen in the blogosphere. I’m like a new-born, growing. Yeah I think I’ve got my milk tooth by now and in some near future might get ready to eat some consistent food.

Hahaha the funniest part, tagging others. Here I go :

1) waz(I wish you could do this even if you’ve already setup a list of things you would want in the near future)
2) Lash(I wish my buddy Schtroumpf -yeah I’ve spelt it pssss copied it more or less- could join in, hope exams wouldn’t hold you back)
3) Techz(I wish you wouldn’t fall on me because that’s the second time I’ve tagged you)
4) Nym(I wish there were more French like you, would you come in?)
5) Yvonne(I wish you could do this because yeah I know how you hate that type of game)
6) Angele(I wish you good luck for your new homeplace so how about your first taggerGame there.)
7) Liz(I wish you could do it even if I really know you’re sincerely busy with work - psss I should be letting the adults work in there - I wish you won’t kick me)

Let’s make a wish. WishWe!! If you had 7 wishes, what would they be for the blogosphere?

Thank you, Hans. How wonderful that the SOB program has done that. It’s more than I dreamed. What a fine legacy. I’m smiling from the inside out.

I will do your meme on my writing blog, but alas I don’t have 7 friends to pass it on to. So it will stay with me. Which means I will write it 7 times better than I usually write — for this occasion. ;)

    @ Liz

aligato(thanks in Japanese) Liz. I’m touched.

I think really great wonders are created when people try to build things together and share it to others. That’s your greatest legacy : you’ve built something we can be part of without being blog addict(hope the 9Rulers won’t hear me)

I wished there were many more things like so. That’s why I like tagger(I call it so)/meme game, your blog tipping things and everything that might get others involved into it. For me it’s being involved that makes this blogging live.

As for whom to pass it to, I think Techz gave you the answer.

Yeah you’re ingame. Too good : I’ll wait for that one.

    @ angele

That’s my revenge for the 6Tagger one. You’ve obliged me to tell things about myself now it’s my turn hahaahhaha (just kidding ;p )

    @ techz

If I were to visit you too often, I think you would put a banner for no entrace for Hans. (*I’m just kidding*)

But that would be fun to know your wishes as a blogger. I think you’ve already played the game coming here to tell this(aren’t these wishes?).

Thanks for coming. I appreciate it.

wow! I think dust won’t be landing on your posts, they are quick as anyone else but yet too fun. wait for me, I’m getting to your playground to get a look, you’re too fast. wow. you could be a good desperado. Getting the gun way too fast for anyone to see what happened. I’m also one ;)

  • 9 Yvonne Oct 2, 2006 at 3:55 am

Well, considering you’ve already inspired two posts of mine, Hans, I’ll join in this time :D

I hope you don’t mind if you have to wait a week or two? I’ve got around ten other posts I want to spit out in the next fortnight. Actually, I might do it this weekend … and like Liz, I won’t have 7 friends to pass it on to :P

  • 10 ~TheAngel~ Oct 2, 2006 at 4:22 am

    Oh, here I’m :)
By the way, how come I don’t get tag??? :(
    Haha, just kidding!

  • 11 Hans Oct 3, 2006 at 7:18 pm

    @ yvonne

yeah :o , our mind just get to fight.

No, take you time. Actually I’m just too happy you’re in-game. Oufff I survived your shotgun. Yeah.

As for the friends to pass on, I think everybody is taking this as an excuse. Hey that’s cheating.

Liz, you’ve inspired another cheater. Hey don’t tell me. Just close your eyes and think of 7 visitors, put them down(keep your eyes closed) and you’re done. So easy.

    @ ~theangel~

    @ ~theangel~

aligato for being part of the game  hey why ain’t anybody tagging others. That’s cheating, cheating ;P

  • 16 waz Oct 4, 2006 at 10:55 pm

    @ Hans:
maybe they are just too busy…
or maybe you should allow more time before initiating the next tag game…
    wat u think, Hans!?!

  • 17 Hans Oct 4, 2006 at 11:13 pm

    @ waz

yo waz, no I wasn’t hasty about getting everybody ingame. I was a bit against the fact that everybody who’s playing the game(apart you) aren’t listing 7 other person. That’s why I said they’re cheating. hahaa waz

hey Waz, really you gotta tell them how do you get to bring 7(more :clown: ) wishers into that. It’s easy isn’t it  then why that seems difficult for others =(

  • 18 waz Oct 4, 2006 at 11:22 pm

    @ Hans:
“I was a bit against the fact that everybody who’s playing the game(apart you) aren’t listing 7 other person. ” - yeah zat’s the easy way out! but it’s just fun n game…so no need to stress out!

actually there is a trick to it…!

newbies tend to think more about it n then may be join in…however, if you get in and do it within the first few days/ couple of minutes that the game has been initiated, you get to tag anyone you want…if you wait, this window of opportunity is lost for there isn’t that many mauritian bloggers around to tag…however, the other option is to go international…but again a newbie will find it hard if he/she is just starting his/her online network…

so yeah, zat’s y i did it zat quickly…to be able to tag anyone…

at the time, i’ve been watchin your blog closely for i’ve been expecting another tag game from you….devious me huh!?! :P

  • 19 Hans Oct 4, 2006 at 11:32 pm

    @ waz

    8) yeah that’s a nice tip, aligato =) I should be thinking about this the next time I get to craft another tag game.

As for me, when I get tagged the first persons I pass it on are my own visitors. Actually knowing a bit more of those actually who visit me. If everybody visiting me already got tagged then I think I won’t be doing the TaggerGame.

I think and I do love TaggerGame not because of getting more traffic or pulling someone else from the sea of the web, but I actually do it to know a bit more of my own visitors.

Hey Waz, wouldn’t you side in with me to devise some rules for TaggerGame  what do you say

  • 20 waz Oct 5, 2006 at 6:27 pm

    @ Hans:
i’ll have some rules ready asap

  • 21 Nym Oct 6, 2006 at 2:32 pm

hey, my answer to your tag is ready !
    Take a look there
