you’re welcomed 8) thanks for visiting. I’m also trying the Aston shell but I think that my FlyAkiteOSx has modded my OS’s core so much that Aston is having no effect on it

  • 10 Thilak Nov 22, 2006 at 12:36 pm

These icons looks pretty cool, I would use them to beautify my adsense ads, but I’m not so impressed by utom’s icons.

  • 11 Hans Nov 22, 2006 at 1:00 pm

    @ Thilak

:aww: thanks for dropping by. I think there should be enough icon set in that list that will keep you enjoying them :agree: but Utom has done a nice job with the modded version of the Hemingway theme. btw I think you also do theme creation and modding?

  • 12 Thilak Nov 22, 2006 at 1:07 pm

Yes I do, but I’m not so good at it. But your current theme looks awesome for my eyes.

  • 13 Hans Nov 22, 2006 at 1:32 pm

    @ Thilak

too great you like it =) I base most of my theme on a minimalist look with a dark touch. I didn’t create it from scratch though, I’ve been using Chris Pearson’s Pressrow as basement since I find it a very impressive theme with great coding and it works well on most browsers.

I’ve been doing another one for my friend which is 90% complete. Have a look here if you want.

Btw on what do you base yours, on K2 or do you handcode them all?

  • 14 Thilak Nov 22, 2006 at 5:05 pm

Wow.. I like the scratch touch, Maybe I should consider hiring you for designing a theme for my blog or atleast its logo

  • 15 Phil Nov 22, 2006 at 9:28 pm

Hi Hans, I was wondering where you got those awesome sidebar icons from! I really like what you’ve done with them turning them greyscale too, it fits perfectly with your style.

I’ve been playing about with famfamfam’s silk icon set (so many!) so you may see a few of those pop up on my redesign.

All these little additions do make designing blogs that extra bit more fun, don’t they?!

  • 16 Hans Nov 22, 2006 at 11:04 pm

    @ Thilak

How about I do a test version for you. But I don’t know whether you’ll like a dark/black approach. :agree: =D

You tell me things you would like or the style you want it and I’ll get you a live demo. That will be too great.

  • 17 Hans Nov 22, 2006 at 11:07 pm

    @ Thilak

and I would do it for no cost  free…..hehe……….there’s no reason for you refusing this offer then

  • 18 Hans Nov 22, 2006 at 11:21 pm

    @ Phil

:agree: yeah, the icing on the cake. Have you already decided on the layout, 2-columns or 3 one? :aww: . I think with all the new features that we can host on our blogs, the real job is to see how things gonna be laid out.

Hey check this site if you want to give you some inspiration to set your post titles.:grinnod:

    @ Thilak
Perhaps you can have a look there, it acts like a brochure :aww:

  • 19 Nyssa Nov 23, 2006 at 3:24 am

I was wondering where you got those icons. ;)

Hmm, most icon packs I’ve used I have forgotten the name of. :(

But thanks for the links on these icons. If I remember the names of any good ones, I shall let you know. :)

  • 20 Thilak Nov 23, 2006 at 6:53 am

Hahaha… Why would you do it for free ?

  • 21 Thilak Nov 23, 2006 at 6:57 am

Logo Designing should be your passion, Ok you work on a theme for me… I’ll dump my entire paypal account on you :)

Sorry, I didn’t read your latest comment. So i had to drag another comment

    @ Nyssa

You should have del.icio.used them :aww: ……..Most of your icons you’ve used on your blog are so rocking :agree:

  • 24 Hans Nov 23, 2006 at 11:54 am

    @ Thilak

Would you be wanting the ColourFull Wall theme but with another logo just for you. I think I’ll release the ColourFul Wall. Would there be a place among your download section there? How about we tweak it down further more and adding your preferred bit?. Then we would release it as a cooperative work between you and I.

  • 25 Thilak Nov 23, 2006 at 1:02 pm

    Sounds like a fair deal..

  • 26 Phil Nov 23, 2006 at 5:43 pm

I am absolutely set on my layout and most aspects of the new design now. Only got some tweaking left to do (I only just started playing with icons and I’m not even sure I’ll keep them!) and to decide what is going in my sidebar.

It’s interesting seeing all the different features that blogs can use now, but how many of them are any use? I prefer to keep things simple and useful, so you won’t see too much difference in my sidebar or footer when it comes to the unveiling. Still, if something really exciting were to come to me, you couldn’t stop me putting it in afterwards!

Thanks for the link there too… there are some things I hadn’t considered there. I’ll have another look at my titles now (though my font is set, I’m certain of that).
