How-to never lose your Cellplus calls

February 1st, 2007 by Hans

Here’s the scenario. You’ve got 2 SIMS : an Emtel and a Cellplus one. Most of the time, it’s the Emtel SIM that you use but there are people that still contact you on the Cellplus one. I’ll give you a simple trick that I got from comradejv which will allow you to use your Emtel SIM without losing calls from your Cellplus one. This without changing SIMS back and forth.

call divert

To accomplish this, we’ll use the free Call Divert features available on Cellplus. This will divert any call to your Emtel phone even if your Cellplus SIM is not in your phone/switched off. You can also use this technique to divert calls to your home phone number if there’s weak network coverage at the place where you live.

First we’ll start by configuring your Cellplus SIM.

  1. Put your Cellplus SIM in your phone and look for the Call Divert option among your phone/call settings
  2. Open the Call Divert option and you’ll see various type of Call Divert.
  3. Select the Divert when phone off or no coverage and choose To other no. Enter your Emtel number or your home phone number(for weak coverage cases)
  4. Press OK to complete

call free

Now you can remove your Cellplus SIM and put back your Emtel one. Here you’re, never losing or missing any of your Cellplus calls even if it’s switched off or the Cellplus SIM isn’t on your mobile.

i’ve asked the customer care sometimes ago about call divert and they told me that i you divert your calls from your cellplus sim towards your emtel sim the you will have to pay an outgoing communication towards an emtel number! this was for my post paid but havent tried with complis, have u tried it? have you checked if it is using ur money on your cellplus sim? becoz it dunt sound logical if it is free cause then many person would just divert there calls from a cellplus so if my gfriend for example has a cellplus and wants to call me on my emtel she would just call my cellplus number and get diverted towards my emtel sim and pays a call towards emtel for the price of a cellplus-cellplus one?

The Call forwarding feature is sure to be free. I have been using it on my cell + prepaid sim. But the fact is that each time it is diverting your calls, it takes an extra fee off from your credit. So if you run out of credit, the call forwarding won’t work anymore :( This is the cost of this service, cause everybody calling you from your cell+ to your Emtel, just pay as if he ws talking to your cell +.

yes you’re right  so I would recommend using it only if you’ll have important calls from cell+, vital if I could say so
