Creating your archives page
MyJournal ethereal comes built in with an archives page to allow your visitors to browse among your past archives easily and effortlessly. To create yours in a minute, just get to your Wordpress admin section. Click the Write tab and create a new page. Name it whatever you want and choose Archives among the Page Template dropdown menu in the right sidebar.

On clicking publish, the archives page can be accessed directly from the top navigation bar.
Creating your sitemap page
An XHTML sitemap allows you to get better search engine listing and position as it ease the crawling of your blog’s link by providing a single place listing them all. To get yours : go to the Wordpress admin section, click the Write tab and create a new page. Name it whatever you want and choose sitemap among the Page Template dropdown menu in the right sidebar.

Also put the Page Slug as sitemap and click Publish, the sitemap can be accessed from the top navigation bar or from the left one.
Creating your most rocking blogroll
MyJournal ethereal comes with a built-in blogroll displaying the blog’s name and description in an easy to browse fashion especially when you’ve got a large blogroll. To get yours, get to your wordpress admin section and to the Write tab, create a new page and under the page template in the right sidebar, select Links and finally click Publish.

I am relatively new to CSS, and I really like this theme, a lot. Could you help me with a snippet of css code that will pull the header image flush right with the edge of the last column, and is cross-browser friendly?

Hey Hans,
There’s something strange going on with my site. The Supareal theme loads painfully slow. I’m not sure what it’s getting hung up on, but it’s taking it’s sweet time. I tried reinstalling it, but no luck. I switched to the Ethereal, but had the same problem.
I’m currently using your Colourfull-wall theme which is lightning fast. I wouldd like to switch back to supareal when I figure out what the problem is.
Any ideas?

Hi Beau, I think it’s the fault of the header images, they were really heavy. Thanks to Eric, he provided optimised version of them and I”ve put them in further downloads. Check it out.
I suppose due to several hits at the same time and the need for your server to call all the images played into slowing things down.
Also I wouldn’t recommend displaying a lot of posts on the frontpage since that would really slow things when loading your blog, especially when these posts contain graphics and youtube type content.
I think I’ll have to come with a post having simple quick tips to help people get on with some speed.
But first do tell me whether the new download with optimised image is speeding things up

I’m experiencing some insane load times and this theme isn’t graphics heavy like my last one. Could it possibly be the rotation of the header images? Is there a way to disable that?
Hi there, I also experienced a slow loading using this theme, but as I found out, it’s not only the header images’ fault (I have changed them to the optimized version), but near the header Hans also included a javascript snippet pointing to http://feedbuddy.net . Well, the website is down (I think) and the javascript blocked everything below it from loading.
The solution is of course remove the javascript snippet. And everybody is happy :p

A recent comment at my blog said: “Incidentally, the comment window allows text writing over one of the right columns, so there are probably a mess of extra returns.” I don’t know if he was commenting via the Comments button on the main page or from the post page itself.
I did not encounter the problem posting a reply to the comment and note we are both using Firefox. The comments, however, appear different on the site, with his not filling the entire comment box.
I don’t know if it had something to do with his display or what but, being code stupid, how can I sort out what may have caused his problem?

just upgraded to wp 2.3 dexter and I get the error <div id=”error”

at the end of my sidebar. It doesn’t appear in other themes and seems to be related to the removal of wp_categories, wp_post2cat, and wp_link2cat from wp 2.3. I don’t know where the error code is coming from but I think it’s from functions.php
Unrelated: I put a <li id=”ical events”></li> tag in my sidebar and I’d like to widgetize it. Do I create the widget in the functions.php?
Lastly, there was an error in the 3cleft.php css sheet. It the closing comment tag */ was missing

Hi! I just uploaded my MyJournal Hypereal theme. What should I do if I want to customize my header image and header font? I also want to edit my header, what should I do?
I love your theme and its style but I’m just having trouble adding google ads into footer. I want to put it right below “older posts). It doesn’t display anything every time I added. Help me out please!
I first thought this theme was based on mistylook, but having a look at the demo’s it doesn’t look like it. In either case, I like the buttons on the left to jump up/down the page, the thing I don’t like is that the top part of the page is filled so much (this even seemed to be the case in the ‘myJournal ethereal(no header image)’ one)
