The most rocking wordpress theme just got a revamped update

May 8th, 2007 by Hans

Downloaded at a rate of 60 copies per day, myJournal ethereal is doing pretty good among Wordpress themes. I’ve been working on a couple of issues and the new version, 1.1 is now available to download.

It would be great if you could help me spread the word about myJournal ethereal : just use the Share this post feature or click to add your contribution: digg it or reddit it.

Here are the new improvements brought to the theme:

  1. Ability to easily add feeds to major feed readers like Google Reader,Bloglines, etc
    quick addition to feed readers
  2. More services among the quick social bookmarking area.more quick social bookmarking sites
  3. Revamped comment’s form section and pages navigation to enhance user experience
  4. revamped comment's area

  5. More efficient styling of codes. I thought it was more practical to display the code’s line number so that anyone could directly pinpoint the location.more efficient styling of code
  6. + many minor design issues that were bugging in IE, now it’s 200% compliant lol

Please, send me your suggestions or improvements using the comment’s form or contact form. There’s a new version in process where I’ve considered given feedbacks of many like the ability to add header images.

A warm thanks to all those using the theme. Through myJournal ethereal, I’ve discovered plenty of good blogs delivering great content. Here are a few of my favourite reads since there are lots of them.

If anytime, you would like help with myJournal ethereal, feel free to contact me and I would be glad to help you with any issues. So now let’s hear your opinions, suggestions, criticism or flames lol.

Well it is a great theme i just tried it on my blog but there seems to be some problem in the home page…as the two sidebars slide down to the bottom of the post…than on the specific place.

While on the other pages they are displaying properly…plz help me in this matter.

    @ Ah Pek

thanks to you for adopting it and enjoying its features. If you have any request that could make the theme better, do please let me know. Thanks for spreading the word about the theme through your site.

    @ Beth

thanks Beth, do let me know if you’ve got any issues during the upgrade. Things should be perfectly seamless, you can just delete the previous myjournal folder and upload that one, all the styling and things should be working by then. Do clear your cache, or refresh your browser since many times the previous styles are still there and could seem gibberish to you.

If there’s anything, do get in touch. Thanks indeed for liking the theme.

    @ Jenny

just send me your comments.php and I’ll tweak it specifically for you. I didn’t separate trackbacks since I thought many people like it too many different ways : some below the people’s comment, some above, some along the rest of the comments, etc

  • 13 Hans May 10, 2007 at 8:30 am

    @ Anirudh

thanks for trying it. If there’s anything, I’m here to help you, be it further mods or design tweaks.

    @ Kyu

I’m sure it will be hacking things down it :P but you’re free to do that too lol :)

  • 15 Hans May 10, 2007 at 8:34 am

    @ Sumesh

some link love lol….. You do a great job at Techzilo, it’s too great to read your contents. Keep up the good job.

    @ abhishek bhatnagar

I just got back from your blog and from what I can see, everything is working just fine. Is it something about a particular page? Could you send me the links to the ones messed up? Or what browser are you using?

I think I’ll have to tell people to test the theme in more browsers, since up till now, I’ve got only feedbacks from IE,Firefox and Linux browsers.

Thanks for trying the theme. Hope you’re enjoying the many features of it.

Congrats, Hans. I took a look at the preview version, and it does look really nice. I’m not surprised that many are downloading your theme. :)

  • 19 Nobert May 16, 2007 at 8:49 am

Hey, the page on top doesnt work according to sequence after this newer update. You cant use back from the 1,2,3,4,5,6 number system from version 1.0.

And how do you make that contact email form ?

    Thanks

  • 20 Nobert May 16, 2007 at 8:57 am

ohyah, and when u disabled chat, the sidebars wont aline.

  • 21 Hans May 16, 2007 at 8:31 pm

    @ Revka

 nice you like it too :) perhaps some of these days I may get a Blogger template too ;-)

  • 22 Hans May 16, 2007 at 8:34 pm

    @ Nobert

you can manually change the order of the tabs by using the list item tags.

As for the contact form, see this post.

I’ve have to say that this is really a nice and cool looking theme. Interactivity will be the correct word for this theme’s name…what do you say? Some nice colors and correct use of space has really made this theme look great :)

    @ ReviewSaurus
