Free books for you

July 3rd, 2007 by Yan

Have you ever dreamt of possessing thousands of full-text free books? I have. And FullBooks has made this possible. They contain literally thousands of books, mostly classics ones such as Shakespeare, Charles Dickens and Arthur Conan Doyle. Being a great fan of mystery books and Sherlock Holmes, I checked out the collection of books on Sherlock Holmes and clearly, Fullbooks live up to its name. The site contains all the books on Sherlock Holmes and many more.

One downside the site has is that there is no system of searching. The books are arranged in alphabetical order and you must know the name of the book to look for it. Or else you can just browse a book at random to read for your own pleasure.

You do not need any special reader like Microsoft Reader or adobe acrobat reader to read the book. It is displayed on your browser directly. Each book is divided in 7 parts and the format of the book facilitates easy reading. There is no method of bookmarking a section though. You have to remember where you are in a part or you can read the entire part at one go and keep the other parts for later.

The site does not contain any disclaimer or other piece of information whereby the site owner declares that he has got the rights to display the books for free.

Without further ado, go and check out Fullbooks and let us know how you found it.
