The latest stable release of WordPress (Version 2.5) is available
but no no, it’s not really stable. As with every major update, it ’should’ show glitches so wait for sub-releases like 2.5.1 or further to update. Give everybody time to update their plugins and for the WP developers to see subsequent holes and bugs that may do nasty things to your blog :p you’ve been warned or I prefer advised : Don’t update to 2.5 now, don’t cripple your blog!
And yeah, that’s not an April Fool Joke. I wish that was really one : WP 2.5 release being an April Fool Joke LOL.

And 2.5.1 will contain glitches as well. The important thing is to update promptly when they become evident.

major update should have more “things that don’t work(in terms of theme,plugins,database,etc” than subsequent minor releases(which are mainly security patch,etc) : that’s what I think now.
Well, glitches will be in any other releases. But such a big update… I agree that there is reason to wait.
