Making it to the Technorati Top 100

There are 2 ways to get to the famous Technorati Top 100, most popular blogs from around the blogosphere. One is to get lots of blogs linking to you in the past 6 months and the other getting the most favourites.

While getting the most favourites don’t affect your ranking, it will still allow you to join the Top 100 list. Technorati uses the favourites as a mean to keep users alert of the latest news from their favourite blogs when they get onto the Technorati home page while they are signed-in. Just like a feed reader.

There has since been many tools and techniques used to help you along the process of exchanging favourites. One of my favourite is from EngTech, you download his nifty program, install it on your computer, put your Technorati username and password and you let it do the rest. It favourites all the blogs which have favourited you but you haven’t. It also stores a list of all the people who has favourited you.

I think that getting into link train do help in some ways but more effective techniques could be used like contests with great prizes Marketing Pilgrim is thus opening a draw that will allow anybody making the blog a favourites a participant. If he/she be the winner, then he/she goes home with a Nintendo Wii. Brilliant ain’t it? Who wouldn’t favourite Marketing Pilgrim, I did it lol
